The Band Of Garrys formed in 2002 when Garry from East Grinstead performed his karaoke juggling act to Bill Clinton on a submarine. Garry from Henfield and Garry from Northwest Grinstead were employed as caterers for the evening and suggested to Garry from East Grinstead that they form a band.

Nothing ever became of it, but Horatio Teapot read the report of the evening in Vacuum Weekly and thought 'The Band Of Garrys' would be an excellent name for an experimental, improvisational heavy skiffle orchestra.

Horatio never formed the orchestra, but his imaginary friend MC Squared enlisted The Yew Two to write, record and perform quirky, eclectic tunes under the name 'The Band Of Garrys'. Together with Theee Cowfold Enigmatics and The Pune Students, they collaborated on their first release 'Greasy Listening' on the garrylewisaudio label in 2004.

Following this up with 'Eponymous' in 2005, the BOGs started to perform live, placing more emphasis on choreography and props than actual musicianship, instrumental dexterity or vocal expertise.

They use backing tracks, home-made instruments, fruit, vegetables and household objects such as ironing boards and plumbing accessories to entertain audiences in front rooms, kitchens and conservatories across the South of England.

The BOGs are currently writing and recording their 'Difficult Third' album. It will contain tracks by The Smithsonians (This Charming Van, Girlfriend In A Commer, There Is A Light Commercial Vehicle Which Never Goes Out and Safeways Here We Come), The Pune Students (The Customer Journey and Honk, Spit And Swerve), Ken Smith, Noel Brown And Mike Gaffey (Was It The Kensington Or The Nashville?) and Napkin Coal (One Eye Fall In Love).
