   About Splatt
The music of Splatt is inspired by the landscapes of the Malvern Hills and surrounding area. Through the songs of Martin Roy Thorne (see the friends list below), Paul Beadle, William Shakespeare and various traditional ballads they explore the pagan /celtic roots of English and Irish Folk, using traditional ethnic and modern instruments to create an epic soundscape that is truly part of an emerging New Tradition .

Our new album, PRIMAL HORDES AND PARTISANS, is available now! It can be purchased directly from the band, AND CAN NOW BE DOWNLOADED FROM iTUNES. OPEN YOUR iTUNES PLAYER AND CLICK THE LINK HERE: Splatt! - Primal Hordes and Partisans

The album is also available from AMAZON , PLAY.COM

If the samples on our player here leave you wanting more, visit Jim's site at www.jimbatty.me.uk for even more tracks from the new album.

WE ARE ALWAYS INTERESTED IN SPEAKING TO VENUES AND TO ANYONE WANTING TO BOOK US FOR ANY OCCASION. DO SEND US A MESSAGE AND WE WILL GET BACK TO YOU. MySpace Layouts

Enough is enough... It has gone too far.

Since when was James Blunt folk-rock ? .. Eh ? ... can someone tell me please ? James Blunt is pop.. pop.. and er... POP !

So what happens.. We get to number 2 in the MySpace charts.. and who is sitting there above us.. ??

Yup you guessed it..

So what is the point ? .. Fairport Convention, Pentangle, Sandy Denny, Richard Thompson.. even the mighty Led Zeppelin in the early days.. that is folk-rock... If we were sitting number 2 to a work of musical genius then that is fair.. But no.

We are sitting below someone who songs consist of inane drivel like the one about a man who freaks out and commits suicide after a girl smiled at him on the tube.. Are we led to believe that James Blunt is "folk-rock" ... A sponge rocks harder..

So what can you do ? ... Click on the pic below to support the band for a start.. Then forward this to your friends... especially the ones who like James Blunt... heh..

Let's get the Blunts of this world back where they belong... The POP charts !!

She killed for all their worth.
