Stolid on Late Night Saturday!!

Buy our debut CD by clicking on our album Stolid - What It's Worth

Or download it on Stolid - What It's Worth

The roads of life have brought the associates of Stolid together, but Ben, Joe, Ryan, and Josh will choose their path from here. Formed in the spring of 2006 as a collaboration between two local acoustic projects, the relationship has worked better than ever imagined and has accomplished and produced much in just over a year. With a melodic three-part-harmony chorus, or a punk fueled and shotgun drummed tune, the songs of Stolid are now being released upon the masses.

The band’s independent, much anticipated, debut EP, What It's Worth, was released in February 2007. Tracked at Strangeways Recording in Burlington, VT, Ben and Joey split the duty of vocals, and belt out verses describing the trials of life and love, and most recently delving into politics and philosophy. Citing such diverse influences as Bad Religion, Metallica, Green Day and The Ataris, they bring with them their tendency to flirt with a range of genres, most often describing themselves as Alternative/Hard Rock with Punk tendencies.

The band spent much of the 2007 performing shows around Vermont and throughout New England. In the fall the band toured the Northeast and Atlantic coast playing shows in many states from Portland to Philly and all points in between. With strong hometown support and an exciting studio release behind them, Stolid looks to introduce their music to a wider and more distant new audience, spreading the music that they love to play, to fans that love to listen.

UPDATE - As of April '08, we have decided to split up. Read the blog for more info.

"Stolid’s musicianship is evident...this band
has the capability to put on a loud, tight
show with a sound that would fit perfectly
on a rock radio DJ’s top-10 list..."

~ADENA HARFORD, Seven Days

This just seems so very wrong given that I only just discovered you 6 months ago. And I was just listening to your CD this morning. I suppose it's understandable given where everyone is...but does it have to be the end, couldn't it just be a hiatus? :) Thanks for the shows I've seen and the CD and T-shirt and hopefully we'll see you around!
