Influences
Our influences came from the great power trios of old and new, stemming from Stevie Ray, ZZ Top, Grand Funk, Cream, ect. Coming from San Angelo, TX there is an eclectic mix of music out there in the desert that was influential including TX country, jazz, punk, and jam bands. TX Blues Rock was the common ground we met on upon forming the band. We pride ourselves on our "B-side" cover songs from the bands you know that you never hear. The real question here is what The Barbacks are under the influence of (which is typically tequila)! This can sometime "influence" the raucous roadhouse riots that have made them the house band for the motorcycle club The Survivors.
Sounds Like
Like it could take the hump off a camels back man! Gritty, dirty, and downhome like Texas boys know how to do it!!!
We all hail from the town of San Angelo, TX and wound up a few years after high-school running into each other in Denton. Initially the band was formed after a lot jamming. Our first show was on Texas Independence day of last year and we've been rolling ever since. We have taken to the Texas roadhouse blues band style, but we also have touches of country, classic rock, and reggae in our original music. Lately we've had our friends Buck, Liz, and Taylor join us onstage and they've really added a great dimension to the set. When The Barbacks are playin, you know we're there and ready to party with ya! Come out and enjoy some great TX Blues Rock and as always, support your local music scene! Salud
Hey Boys, Sorry I couldn't be with ya'll in San Angelo. I didn't realize that once you move back home you actually have to participate in family events. Miss you guys and hope you are enjoying life as much as I am.
