Everything started in Barcelona in 2006 when a group of friends/musicologists who came from different bands and musical paths, embarked on and developed the idea of forming a fushion band of various styles and tendancies with the objective of having fun making music, and to offer a fun show and close to the audience.
Attur (Vocals and sequences) and Roman (vocals) had been working some time on hip hop styles when everything started. From its start until today, the band has undergone changes, as many internal as musical.
In its first phase, made of up Poe (Drums), Luis (bassist), Javier (guitarrist) and Attur (Vocals) the objective then was centered in interpreting versions of recognised bands in Hip Hop, Soul, Funk and even Rock, and in its second phase they started to develop some original compositions.
In that same year, 2006, a second phase started where Javier was replaced by Orlando Green (guitarrist) and Roman who had worked on some themes before, became part of the band definitively.
The ideas were maturing and they became original songs of The Bares Band, and increasing the formation one component more, Oscar joined as a percussionists.
At the beginning of 2007 Orlando decided to abandon the project, leaving a gap that Rodolfo (Fito, Guitarrist) carrying out the recording of a first work “Sonando” when he joined. A little after the recording Poe decidedto abandon the project and Alberto Green (Orlando Green..s brother) took over as drummer. For personal reasons in 2008, Alberto returned to Gran Canaria and has been substituted by Daniel Navarrera and Oscar left the band to be replaced by Camilo Vernazza.
The base of the band has evolved favourably gaining a marked original style with rhymes that speak about social problems or experiences lived. Hip-hop played with Funk and latin music make each component manage to express itself to the maximum.
Currently the band is in a phase of promotion of its first work “Sonando” and the recording of new themes and a videoclip. They hope and trust in working with a discographer or organisation that is interested in helping the project.
Todo comenzó en Barcelona en el año 2006 cuando un grupo de amigos/musicologos que venían de distintas bandas y trayectorias musicales, emprenden y desarrollan la idea de hacer una banda de fusión de estilos y tendencias con el objetivo de divertirse haciendo música y ofrecer un espectáculo divertido y cercano al mundo.

Las ideas fueron madurando y se convirtieron en canciones originales de The Bares Band, incrementando la formación con un componente mas, Oscar a la percusión.
A comienzos del 2007 Orlando decide abandonar el proyecto dejando un hueco que ocuparía Rodolfo (Fito) (Guitarra) llevando a cabo con esta última formación la grabación de un primer trabajo "Sonando".
Poco después de la grabación Poe decide abandonar el proyecto y Alberto Green (hermano de Orlando Green) toma el puesto de la Batería, por motivos personales, en el 2008 Alberto regresa a Gran Canaria y es sistituido por Daniel Navarrera y Oscar deja la banda para ser sustituido por Camilo Vernazza.
La base de la banda ha evolucionado favorablemente logrando un estilo marcado y propio, con rimas que hablan de problemas sociales y experiencias vividas. Hip-Hop jugando con Funk y música Latina hacen que cada componente se logre expresar al máximo.
Actualmente la banda se encuentra en fase de promoción de su primer trabajo "Sonando" y grabación de nuevos temas y un videoclip. Esperan y confían en negociar con alguna discográfica u organización que se interese en apoyar el proyecto.

Malabo Roots nace en Febrero del 2007 cuando nueve músicos de distintas procedencias y estilos se unen para crear un proyecto de reggae. La banda se consolida dando forma a los temas de Geenjah Babeko, cantante procedente de Malabo en la isla de Bioko (Guinea Ecuatorial) el cual transmite en sus letras gritos de libertad, deseos de comprensión, mensajes de paz y amor, y llamamientos de rebeldía ante el sistema.
