Sounds Like
"A power trio that looks like it stepped out of a time warp from the 1970s, Bare Wires is rapidly perfecting its crisp, no-bull garage punk, reminiscent of the Stooges on too much caffeine and other stimulants. The crisp rhythm section creates a solid backbone for guitarist-vocalist Matthew Melton's licks and machine-gun solos, as well as his earnest respect for melody. Fist-pumpers like "Go Away Frankie" and "Runaway Heart" signal the effortless cool that undoubtedly saturates the group's first full-length, Artificial Clouds, due out soon on Tic Tac Totally."

"....Bare Wires is a move away from Melton's "Biker-Psych" to something that they call "Smooth Punk" (I'm not lying). They even call it "Soft Punk". Can you believe this shit??? This is the world we live in now. Soft Punk. FUCK. Embarrassingly, I even understand exactly what they are talking about...and it works. SHIT. It's good. "
really cool room in manhattan with weird low lighting and these massive speakers facing the wall. every time you move you head the sounds changes. it's cool to just meditate and get lost in the sound and in your head. i spent about an hour in there and at one point for about 30 seconds i heard all these intense beautiful harmonic type things, but i imagine it's different every time and for every person.
It's been a year now since the start of the super producer based night of live beat making began. EGADZ returns to SF for his last show EVER in SF, plus MOPHONO & E DA BOSS???!!!!! THIS SHOW IS GOING TO BE SOOO DOPE! Get there early.
