what you can expect from the cutting edge rawk of the barnum effect are ripping guitars, charging bass, cracking snares and piercing cymbals - all snapped together with some post-punk vocals for extra grind. nice!
since their very first performances in the spring of 2005, the barnum effect have commanded rave reviews; expectations are soaring. the early momentum has caught the attention of many successful cambridge promoters, culminating with recent performances for green mind, repeat, hope street music and big head media to name but a few. the barnum effect’s intense presence has also generated headline performances for cambridgebands.com, supports for abdoujaparov (ex carter usm) and brigade, and a well respected slot at the ‘teenage kicks’ showcase event at the cambridge corn exchange - the prospect of playing to a thousand strong crowd on a cold october evening could not bemire the barnum effect who have thrived on every opportunity to impress.
