the basals have been around for about 8 years. We've toured the US and some of Canada doing shows and playing festivals like SXSW, NXNE, CMJ, Route 1 South, Canadian Music Week, etc.... the basals have opened for people like Smashmouth, Wyclef Jean, The Fixx, Bow Wow Wow, Missing Persons, Blue Oyster Cult, Eric Burden and The Animals and mucho more. We've got 3 full length studio CD's available, 1 EP and 1 Live album recorded at various clubs throughout the US and Canada. Our second CD (Kingpin) was nationally distributed by ADA through Mayhem records and can be gotten from just about any major music website that's out there. Our first CD (Dive) and latest album (Songs from suburban ave.) can be gotten at www.cdbaby.com or www.thebasals.com. We chilled out a while because literally every member of the band had a kid within 3 months of each other (all girls) and now that the girls aren't infants anymore we are back to our evil ways.
We are currently in the studio recording our 4th full length CD with a harder edge than past recordings-we'll keep you posted!
