Intro:(Do do do do-do do do!
Do do do do-do do do!)
I rebel music;
I rebel music.)
Why can't we roam this open country? (open country)
Oh, why can't we be what we wanna be? (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
We want to be free. (wanna be free)
3 o'clock roadblock - curfew,
And I've got to throw away -
Yes, I've got to throw away -
A yes-a, but I've got to throw away
My little herb stalk!
I (rebel music) - yeah, I'm tellin' you! -
(I) I rebel music (rebel music). Oh-ooh!
Take my soul (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
and suss - and suss me out (suss me out). Oh-ooh!
Check my life (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh),
if I am in doubt (I'm in doubt); I'm tellin' yuh:
3 o'clock roadblock - roadblock - roadblock,
And "Hey, Mr. Cop! Ain't got no - (hey) hey! (hey, Mr Cop) -
(What ya sayin' down there?) - (hey) hey! (hey, Mr Cop) -
Ain't got no birth certificate on me now."---Bob Marley
"Life is one big road with lots of signs, So when you riding through the ruts don't you complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy, Dont bury your thoughts, Put your vision to reality, Yeah!
All together now! Wake up and Live, Wake up and Live Now! (refrain)
Rise ye mighty people. There is work to be done so let's do it a little by little. Rise from your sleepless slumber. We're MORE than SAND on the SEASHORE, We're MORE than NUMBERS!
All together now. Wake up and Live Now! (refrain)
You see one, one cocoa full a basket
Well they use you live big today
Tomorrow YOU'RE BURRIED IN A CASKET!
Well the use you live big today
Tomorrow YOU BURY IN A CASKET!
All together now!
Wake up and Live, Keep on playing (refrain)
How's it feeling over there? Come on man
Keep on telling you, gotta wake up and live...

Lyrics to Bassmaster® by the Bobbers:
Bass Master
Bass Master
Bass Master
Bass Master,
He jumps in his boat, puts the pedal down,
You know he's not just fooling around,
If you try to keep up with him you know you're in a race,
'Cause he's not going to settle for second place,
Bass Master
Bass Master
Bass Master
Bass Master,
Flies around the lake at breakneck speed,
He knows the biggest fish is what he needs,
Has to do his best to get there first,
If he's going to cash in on that Bass Master purse,
Bass Master
Bass Master
Bass Master
Bass Master,
Bass Master
Bass Master
Bass Master
Bass Master,
He jumps in his boat, puts the pedal down,
You know he's not just fooling around,
If you try to keep up with him you know you're in a race,
'Cause he's not going to settle for second place,
Flies across the lake at breakneck speed,
He knows the biggest fish is what he needs,
Has to do his best to get there first,
If he's going to cash in on that Bass Master purse,
Bass Master
Bass Master
Bass Master
Bass Master
Bass Master
Bass Master
Bass Master
Bass Master.

I am currently seeking jobs for fishing magazines or companies. I have several years experience writing, editing, publishing and analyzing construction industry reports and can apply that, with my knowledge of fishing, to outdoor entertainment.
The Bass Hog!® Jonathan Marlow Happy Thanksgiving to all you Bass Hogs out there! Posted at 3:52 AM Nov 26 from Twitter view more
I am a fisherman, conservationist, family man, good neighbor and competitor. I like to win. Born in April 1970 in Utah, I received a bachelor’s degree in economics from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Since then I have spent my time working as a research analyst in McLean, Virginia, taking classes in real estate and studying the burgeoning art of Bass Fishing. More recently I have changed jobs and now am head of the sales department for a medium sized limousine company in Alexandria, Virginia. My interest in fishing started in 1973, when as a distraction for me, my grandparents took me fishing while my mother was pregnant with my sister, Meredith. My grandmothers and great-grandmother, and occasionally one of my grandfathers, had the duty of taking me fishing, and they taught me the rudimentary elements which I built upon to create fishing skills that would allow me to participate in world class fishing events. My mother and father continued to encourage me to fish after my sister was born, and we have spent many days on the water together talking and arguing about fishing, politics and everything under the sun, my mother usually providing a taxi service for me (Thanks Mom & Dad). Starting with my first professional tournament in 2003 with Bassmaster®, which I did not win, I then proceeded to take two years off to get more education and a better day job. I am now poised to become one of bass fishing's finest co-anglers, I hope for a full time angling job. I will be in the front of the boat, at some point in the future.
Each day of tournament fishing there are two contestants per boat, the boat's owner in the front and the co-angler in the rear. They pay different entry fees, the boat owner usually pays twice as much, however the prize is twice as large. The competition is perhaps more keen for the co-angler, because they do not control the locations fished or speed of lure used in the competition, or the working condition of the boat, that is done by the guy on the front of the boat. Don't let that fool you, the first place prize for the guy in the back of the boat or the co-angler usually is about $3,000 usd per day during the first round of competition. If one advances to the next level, it is about $10,000 usd per day and $20,000 usd per day for the level after that for the co-angler. Profitable if you can catch big bass all the time. In 2005 I placed in the top 16 in two different tournaments and took home a paycheck each day. I will embark on more than a dozen different professional bass fishing tournaments in 2006, with Bassmaster® or FLW Outdoors®. The exposure to potential sponsors and fans will be tremendous. Each tournament is an adventure in itself. A ride in a bass boat has been likened to a roller coaster without rails. Then there are the little things, like the sunrise over the lake, the wildlife we see, the other boats on the body of water, and of course the people. Let us not forget the entertaining antics of anglers like Mike Iaconelli. Please check out the web pages at
for more information. I will be fishing the Stren® and BFL® Series of Tournaments with FLW Outdoors® and the Bassmaster® Series and the 2006 CITGO Bassmaster® Northern Tour at Smith Mountain Lake with Bassmaster®. My first tournament of the year will be April 1, 2006 at Smith Mountain Lake in Moneta, Virginia. To see the results of my past and future efforts please go to:
There will likely be a lot more wins for me in the future, so feel free to check back often for updates on my professional bass fishing career. Fans of all ages, colors, shapes and sizes are welcome at these public professional tournaments. FLW® and Bassmaster® both encourage the youths to participate in the sport. Check out the following program for children:
Most tournaments there is a nice show in the morning when we all arrive and blast off out into the lake, and in the evening there is a stage show when we "weigh in". Larger tournaments feature day activities for shore bound fans. Smith Mountain Lake fans can ride go-carts while they wait for their favorite Bassman to tip the scales at day's end.

Maybe one day George Mason University will have a bass fishing team lead by Jonathan. Why not? The Army National Guard is sponsoring a team this year. It is certainly less expensive than fielding a football team.
Go Patriots!
The 2006 season is over and I took home another pay check last year. Last year was perhaps more of a success than the year before in spite of the fact that I won more money the previous year. It was the year of "learning", and I learned a lot. This year will be the year of putting what I learned into my game plan, yet I know that I will gain a lot of knowledge as well. I have been wanting to write for an outdoor magazine for years, and I plan to realize that goal this year. I have submitted several articles and will post any article that gets published. I will be fishing the American Bass Angler's Bassmaster Weekend Series® and likely at least one region of the BFL® tournaments with FLW Outdoors® and am also thinking about the Bassmaster® Northern Open. I am hopeful that my boaters will not experience boat troubles this year so that I may win a region.
Special Thanks to American Bass Anglers®, FLW Outdoors®, Bassmaster®, their fisherpeople, and all of our sponsors, employers and family members for making this site possible.
