The Bear Mountain Pickers is a bluegrass/folk/jazz band from Washington, DC. Formed in 2004, the Pickers have played at various venues throughout the area. Mandolin player Alex Hirsch, banjo/guitarist/vocalist David Kantor, and saxophone/clarinet/bassist Jonathan Kantor bring many different musical styles and influences to the group. With a combination of original music and covers, The Bear Mountain Pickers have become one of the most well known bands at the George Washington University. Look for the group to continue playing in New York City next year!
