Once society is broken down and rebuilt, the prophets of yesteryear will be discussed in whispers; Springsteen, Richman, The Moz. Field hollers replaced by anthems. Beer soaked rags, hanging from bloated bodies, providing armor against the construction of our oppressors. We are the flare gun of youth. We encourage indulgence in our vices, and we encourage the children to indulge as well. The party is ending. Soon you will be shackled. Throw the rock through the church window, slash the ambulance's tires, dismantle the iron lung. These memories must be documented. A broken heart only stops hurting when it stops beating.
