The Beatnik Pimps have had a myriad of members, the one constant always having been Ryan W. Bradley. The band was not fully realized until the addition of Nick Carroll.
Influences
Punk isn't about a certain sound, it's about an attitude. To us Bob Dylan is as much of a punk as Johnny Rotten, if not more so. The Beatnik Pimps are influenced by artists and people who do things their own way and stay true to their beliefs and ideals. that said, these are some artists that have probably informed the band's sensibilities: The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Tom Waits, The Ramones, The Clash, The Dead Kennedy's, The Dead Milkmen, Mr. T Experience, The Buzzcocks, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Sex Pistols, The Pixies, The Velvet Underground, At The Drive-In, The White Stripes, John Lennon, George Harrison, Propagandhi, Queens of the Stone Age
The Beatnik Pimps is a punk band with a blurry history, and the band is currently and indefinitely defunct. However, vocalist and guitarist, Ryan W. Bradley has taken it upon himself to finish some recordings and get them out into the world. Bradley has poured most of his recent musical efforts into his solo project, Morning Gorgeous. He continues to be devoted to writing and playing punk music, and hopes that finishing the series of Beatnik Pimps EP's that he is currently working on will at least itch that scratch until he is able to revive the Pimps sometime in the future. The Beatnik Pimps will never die, and Bradley is certain they'll be back one day in full effect.
