Desde su creación, the beat of the show ha pasado por diferentes etapas con sus correspondientes cambios estilísticos y de sonido. El corazón musical de the beat of the show evoluciona, se transforma como un ser vivo, sumergido en un universo de diversidad auditiva. Desde los iniciales sonidos oscuros de 1999 y 2000, the beat of the show viró en 2001 hacia un techno pop de raíz melódica, con sonido basado en sintetizadores pero donde cada vez iban tomando mayor protagonismo las guitarras. En 2002, the beat of the show vivió un furioso impulso creativo que se cerró con más de 30 canciones compuestas. Aquí los estilos comenzaban a variar de una canción a otra; desde el techno bailable, al pop melódico, pasando por primera vez a un pop rock con guitarras distorsionadas; desde los discursos autodestructivos y oscuros, al más completo optimismo musical. En 2003, the beat of the show vivió su etapa más nihilista, girando hacia el rock, e incorporando ya de manera habitual guitarras muy distorsionadas junto a pasajes profundamente melódicos. A partir de 2004, the beat of the show fue orientando su sonido hacia un pop rock orquestal, donde el arreglo de cuerdas y metales tomaba la iniciativa y donde los riffs de guitarra alternaban con los instrumentos de cuerda, madera y metal: Pura muralla de sonido. Desde 2004 a la actualidad, the beat of the show se han mantenido fieles a este sonido, su sonido más personal.
