Twas a hot summer's day in July, a tall larger than life character sporting a loud Hawaiian shirt 'n' shades strolls past a sun worshipper strumming a Fender Acoustic seated cross-legged on the beach fully flip flopped up.
"Alright?"
"Alright?" was the first exchange. Both cagey. Two Londoners on a quiet Devon beach. "You a muso then?" says the figure , casting a shadow.
"yeah" says the sunworshipper .
"I use to sing that tune you're playin son" says the Ray Banned figure.
"Chuck Berry" says the flip flopped one.
"Gotta speak as you find my man, them's mighty fine licks you're playin" quipped the big figure.
Having moved to Devon John was tryin damned hard to form a band he'd always wanted, he had been an accomplished bass player on the Blues circuit in London and just needed to pick up the Geetar and play his love ...Rock 'n' Roll, a chance meeting with Fast Freddie who had near stardom in the past started thing's movin'. Lew on drums joined from a previous band he worked in with John on Bass and The Flyin' Bassman Dave Finally filled the 'Slap' position after traveling down from London as a Dep.
They Shook hands and hugged, like men do. The Daddies began......
The rest is history.
