A SHORT HISTORY OF US:

The Bee Hatchers formed back in 1994 at Nottingham University, playing under various names like 'Nephew Gobo', 'Tinge', 'Blue Romance' and 'Imperfect Hosts'. Following the departure of bass player Chris Evans and the arrival of Jon, they changed their name to The Bee Hatchers before going on to become one of the biggest unsigned bands in the East Midlands, culminating in winning the 1998 Carling Battle Of The Bands and the release of their debut single, "Easy Ride".

They split up in 2000 shortly after moving to London, only to reform eight years later (minus keyboard player Robin Das, who now lives in New York). Changes in technology and a world more receptive to guitar-based harmony pop have enabled them to prepare the release of their first EP, "Songs That Got Away", despite all living in different cities in the U.K. They play their first gig in eight years at Bush Hall on Saturday 19th July. Lovers of Crowded House, The Beach Boys and The Feeling are in for a treat....!
