About me: WHY Louisville, a fan club for the city, is a small boutique that sells locally designed shirts, gifts and what-have-you. We are now carrying one-of-a-kind gifts including vintage pop culture memorabilia, kitschy souvenirs and peculiar knick knacks.
We are located in the Highlands at 1609-1/2 Bardstown Road, 2 blocks south of Eastern Parkway near Bonnycastle.
Happy Birthday to the Sponsor of WHY Louisville! Truly, from a practical standpoint of promoting your business and, to sustain a nexus for current and former residents of the River City, I thank You for the fond memories You resurrect for me during the three years I "came of age" as a man; while a seminary student at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Cherokee Park! From the fond memories of films seen at the VOGUE Theatre and the Village 8; to nurturing my lifelong interest in opera via the Kentucky Opera Association; to becoming a Freemason and an Eastern Star, I earnestly thank you for those memories! Discovering White Castle hamburgers, visiting the collection of specialty stores in a former convent; to taking a cruise on the "Belle of Louisville"; to seeing a real mummy at the archaeological museum at Southern Baptist Seminary; to learning about "snow sharks" during a snowy winter in my 1976-1979 sojourn, remain still a part of the substantial tapestry of my life that the City of Louisville helped to construct for me! Thank You!!!
