Two inimitable rock ‘n’ rollers are set to take the stage together this year, as Ricky Warwick (The Almighty) and Eddie Spaghetti (Supersuckers) appear live at Classic Grand on Saturday, 27th June as part of their 2009 joint UK tour.
Neither of these boys are strangers to success, as solo entities or in fronting the incredible bands they have played with. Irish-born singer/songwriter/guitarist Ricky Warwick has a performing and songwriting ability that has led him to achieve ten Top 40 singles and four Top 20 albums in the UK with former band, The Almighty, and to tour with Def Leppard as a solo artist. Ricky has embraced no-frills, emotionally direct, pure music exemplified by such American influences as Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen, Woodie Guthrie and Steve Earle.
“What we've got here's a bunch of gritty acoustic rock steeped songs, full of passion, dirt, whiskey and tales of a misspent youth and years of being on the road.” – Metal Invader
Eddie Spaghetti has been the ringleader of the prolific Rock band Supersuckers since 1988. But in 2002, Spaghetti also found time for a remarkable solo career. His first solo album, Sauce, appeared in 2004 to high acclaim. By 2005 Spaghetti had found enough time and songs for another solo flight, and continues to work on solo material to this day.
