This is the oldest form of jazz...it had its beginnings in Storeyville (the old "red light district" of New Orleans) at the start of the 20th century!
So, we're influenced by history, tradition, and any/all of the bands and musicians that were playing back in the day, as well as, the bands and musicians who kept/keep the music alive from the 1920's to the present day!!
Here are just a very few of the "more well known": The Original Dixieland JazzBand, "JellyRoll" Morton, Firehouse Five Plus Two, Banu Gibson, the Steamboat Stompers and hundreds more!

Unless you REALLY know your jazz, this probably sounds like nothin' you've set yourself down to listen to in a very long time! All I can say is that this the kind of music which, when heard, one can't help but feel better after having heard it, where one can't stop their toes from tappin' no matter HOW bad the mood, where even the sad songs are happy!! This is the music everyone on the planet LOVES!!!...some of you just don't know it yet! ;)
