Great soulful tunes with a blaxplotation feeling, I specially like the Dublex Inc. remix. I..'ll play it!
Right after the first notes from „Stare it cold“ it is made totally clear where we at.
In the middle of a chase scene from a imaginary seventies Blaxploitation movie and there is no way back as the story and the song continues. 3:30 min, and at the latest after the battle between the harp and the organ we all have the feeling this story will have no happy end. But for those of you who keep the Funk and shake the hips fast enough there might be a little chance to get out of the situation.
On the Flip-side Dublex Inc. takes the tune into the studio to deconstruct it a little bit to transfer the whole story under the disco ball near your hometown. The Bar Kays send some regards...

The Belletunes from Augsburg / Germany breathe the soul of the Stax area without getting lost in the vintage wood. Ruff Organ sounds meeting pulsating beats , mugginess vocals, and fevered bass grooves.
The Belletunes are Jochen Helfert (keys & programming) and Christofer Kochs (vocals & harmonica)
Jochen Helfert is know to some of you as the musical mastermind behind the successful „Les Gammas“ back in the days on Compost Records. He also toured with Beanflield throughout Europe and worked with people like Karl Bergner (on Jeff Buckley..s „Grace“ album). Beside Belletunes he is an successful composer for German TV and Radio productions.
Christofer Kochs had his personal „soul awaking“ when he had the honor to shacked hands with Curtis Mayfield at the age of 21. He toured with several bands and released an album with Mufti Twins in 2008 which was successfully received by the German feuilleton. Beside music he is a respected painter and sculpture artist with exhibitions all over Europe.
