Bio
The Beneficiaries are a two man acoustic outfit playing sad-pop and surf-standards. Our work buddies and family come see us play "shows" at various coffee houses and bars around the valley and deep east-bay area. This one time we were playing in Danville all kinds of people were dancing to our music which was strange at first, and then we were all, "well of course they're dancing, because we put dance wax on the floor before they came..." -
Members
Blake Eastman (guitar+vox), Bill Anders (guitar+vox), Ed (meets us at open-mic night when we call him up last minute and plays drums) -
Influences
smiths, jonathan richman, jesus and mary chain, artichoke heart soufflé, galaxy 500, happy mondays, belle and sebastian, the clash, the cure, the ventures, the sentinals, rosie and the originals -

The Beneficiaries. have your best interests at heart
where shall we commute to next?
we've been feeding our addiction to open-mic-night
...she said,"Oh I know you and you cannot sing!"

Hey, thanks!
