The BeWells officially started in late 2004 when their first song was recorded for one of the last SongFight! titles of the year. Since then, the group has continued to write and record songs associated with the SongFight! site that are primarily influenced by their folk, bluegrass, country, and celtic roots. The BeWells are typically a one-man band but do occasionally take the shape of a brother-sister duo. After years of music lessons, performing in churches, school bands and choirs, talent shows and musicals, the desire to work on song writing and recording finally came to fruition in 2004 with the acquisition of an Apple PowerBook and stumbling across the SongFight! site.
