They said
it couldn't be done. Or maybe they didn't, but it seems nearly impossible to
believe that two children under the age of 7 would complete an album's
worth of new MUSIC material in less than a MONTH. But, here we are.
Future WORLD super-stars, THE BIG BASHED, have completed their
FIRST album, entitled "Squiggly". 16 tracks clocking in at 25
minutes, these songs were crafted in the bedroom, basement and living room of
their own home in the spirit of free spontaneity. Stand-out tracks include a
"Lion King" overview, " Lions
Are The Best", and the instant night-time ritual classic, " Time to
Brush My Teeth".
Zion (6) and
Brennan (4) Fadel have been participants in a game
their parents host in their home one Sunday evening a month, and have taken the
skills they gleaned from that game to produce a startlingly honest and
hilarious piece of work. On New Year's Day, they approached their dad, Todd
Fadel, with the request of starting a songwriting project. Always ready for a
new, great idea, Todd jumped at the chance to help them realize their vision.
After 4 successful sessions of improvisational songwriting, they show no signs
of letting up, but they wanted to give the public a glimpse of their first
steps into this "larger world".
Early
fans of THE BIG BASHED's work have already joined in the fun. Most notably, one fan
covered a song shortly after it was posted on the internet, and, in turn,
posted his version on his own music site. They're very excited for what
the future will bring.
They
both have birthdays next month, and they hope to complete new material to
perform at their respective parties.
