The Big House's Blurbs |
About me:
The Big House, in Macon, Ga, served as the home for the Allman Brothers Band from 1970-73. With its 14 rooms, the nickname "Big House" quickly stuck. Many great songs were written there, including "Blue Sky" and "Ramblin' Man," before the band moved out in 1973. In 1992, ABB tour manager Kirk West purchased the house, and moved the world's largest collection of Allman Brothers' memorbilia into the band's old rehearsal rooms. Recently, a private group known ahttp://profileedit.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=profile.interestss the Big House Foundation purchased the House, and is in the process of a complete renovation, with plans to open the Allman Brothers Band Museum in late 2008.
