Owing to circumstances beyond our control, The Big Love Company has rationalised our live music nights, and will only be hosting Sunday night sessions at The Thunderbolt in Totterdown for the foreseeable future. Despite the sudden cancellation of all of the gigs at The Full Moon and Attic Bar, and the subsequent burden of work that this has entailed, we are thrilled that this setback has prompted a move to The Thunderbolt in our efforts to salvage our live music commitments. The Thunderbolt is an exceptional venue that genuinely cares about live music and unreservedly endeavours to provide the highest level of support for all of the bands and artists that perform there. This will be the first time that The Big Love Company has had the opportunity to work with a venue that adopts such high standards, and who truely understands what being a live music venue is all about. Naturally we are thrilled about this, and we feel privileged to work with them. Venues like this are extremely rare... it really is an honour to be a part of what is being established there.
Or visit them at:
124 Bath Road, Totterdown, Bristol. BS4 3ED
The Big Love Company is committed to raising awareness of the wealth of creativity and talent that exists in Bristol and Bath. Our ultimate aim is to swell the numbers of people that attend live music and multi media nights.
We are also developing ideas to assist artists and bands in their efforts to progress their musical careers. Please subscribe to our blog for regular updates and opportunities.
The BigLove Company also works closely with a number of independent festivals within a 50 mile radius of Bristol and Bath. Festivals play an essential role for live performers that cannot be underestimated.
We have already hosted a fair number of Festival Pre-Parties, and we are set to hold a few more before the summer is out. In fact, our first night at the Thunderbolt will be a Croissant Neuf Summer Party Pre-Party.
We love Croissant Neuf for their exceptional professionalism and integrity. This long established concern is at the forefront of solar technological development, and employs solar wizardry that others try and fail to replicate. Their 1,000 capacity live music marquee fairly dances on it's poles when the 10k solar powered rig boots up. This coupled with an impressive LED light rig that uses less power than it takes to boil a kettle surpasses many festival stages that use conventional technology to achieve their ends.
Croissant Neuf have booked a fair number of Bristol acts for their festival in Usk, Monmouthshire (1/2 an hours drive from the centre of Bristol). It takes place on 15th, 16th, 17th August when the weather has surely got to have sorted itself out...!!!*?*?*!!!

Here is a very recent video of the Indy Award nominated artist Vince Freeman from his trip to LA. Things are really happening for Vince at the moment... and the video will give you an insight into why... He's a very lovely man, with a lot of talent! Vince will be playing at The Full Moon on Sunday 20 July
All future updates to our activities will be posted in the blog on The Big Love Company page on Myspace and will be featured in our on-line magazine. Please subscribe to one or both if you are interested in reading about what we are up to.

IMPORTANT: ALL BIG LOVE COMPANY ACTIVITIES ARE SUSPENDED FOR THE FORSEEABLE FUTURE
The Big Love Company is a music promotions company that hosts regular live music nights at The Thunderbolt every Sunday night.
The Thunderbolt is a great little 150 capacity venue situated on the Bath Road. It serves a good range of excellent beers and ales, has an enclosed garden and an incredibly warm and intimate feel. Having worked with a quick succession of other venues over the last three months, it is with some relief that we can finally say that we feel as though we have found our natural home.
Please join us on Facebook by following the link if you would like to receive event invitations to the nights that we put on...

Wednesday 19th of August 2009 Qu Junktions & Glaive Concerts presents: GANG GANG DANCE + The Color of The Sun ~ Fleece ~ 12 St. Thomas Street Bristol BS1 6JJ 0117 945 0996 - 8PM - 12.00
Tickets 10 pounds in advance On sale at Bristol Ticket Shop, Here Shop and See Tickets. ------i-n-f-o-------------------- This gang gang from Brooklyn, have emerged from a very fertile, indigenous music scene in their neighbourhood but have branched out way WAY further with their hook ups and hooks. It is a ghetto world music that declines fey introspection but invites in disparate saturated sounds and bang bang dance dynamics. Their multi-faceted music style was first brought to our attention following a series of releases on forward-thinking label, The Social Registry; and subsequently, they have found a suitable home on Warp Records.
The bands assemblage of wonky techno, outer rock, faux arabesque and other strange, spiralling, sinuous music forms that transcend categorisation. Utterly unique and iconoclastic.

Fresh from their show at Barcelona's Primavera festival, Teeth Mountain will be unleash their heavy concoction of new-wave tribal psychedelic sounds on Cube, using driving percussion like other bands use guitars.
Deep, thick layers of rhythms and overlays of ambiance, from the gritty to the sublime, this eight-piece outfit create a controlled mayhem of weighty neo-tribal trance music, part Indian, part African, part Balkan, and part Baltimore, that transforms consciousness and carries the group and their listeners to higher states.
The Wire magazine recently praised their 'refusal to acknowledge any kind of destination point for their jamming, achieving a convincing state of suspension throughout, helped by some engagingly forceful drumming.'
Teeth Mountain pummel with noise and drums but are always inviting and joyous, a new wave of tribal sounds in underground music. Be prepared to witness a heady, peyote-voodoo brew, getting you out of your seats and on your feet. Teeth Mountain will enthrall you in a rhythmic, musical spell.
