Kenny and Mike said Pär's songwriting is inspired by a man called Ron Miles. Pär has never heard of a man called like that but he got to know now that he comes from Denver just like Kenny and Mike.
Kenny's Songwriting is inspired by great musicians. That is for sure.
Mike drumming is inspired by his compositional skills. While Pär and Mike were waiting for the G-Train, they found out that they both like guitarpickings and alternative tunings...but that is just a private detail.
None of them joined the army
All of them are very sweet and sometimes they cry
Kenny and Mike are from Denver or somewhere close to that. They both live in Brooklyn, the place of your personal fame and glory.
Pär is from Germany but doesn’t live anywhere. He tasted Hamburg, Amsterdam and Berlin but always returns to be nowhere.
Luckily he knew Kenny. They studied together for a while but only played once. Pär preferred to cook for Kenny. Once Pär went to Brooklyn and Kenny made some pasta and picked up Kenny’s playground love Mike Thies who was a famous drummer.
They thought it would be nicer without, but safer with...just like with condoms.
They brought a beer, but had to cover it in a plastic bag, because that is how you do it in Brooklyn, baby.
Pär felt very cool, like in a gangster movie, where dudes with guns wear huge pans and talk in a slang that Pär would not understand, just because he was carrying a beer can covered by a plastic bag...
After they passed by the love tomatoes, they kind of had to play together. Kenny and Mike played very nice. Pär didn’t, but he called himself a bandleader and brought most of the tunes, nobody would take him serious but Kenny and Mike got stuck with him.
They recorded some tunes and improvised freely to fill the rest of the record.
They named themselves after a Newspaper that announced the band as
THE NEW HIP SHIT FROM BROOKLY’ just a few hundred years after they did the recordings: THE BIG NEWS!!!!!.
Mike Thies: Drums
