Sounds Like
Having your head kicked in outside the Ice Bar on a Saturday night.
Or alternatively:
"Even when you think the song has been abandoned, and the sound has subsided into pure glorious feedback, they suddenly pull together where they left off, and lapse back into some calm beauty of a melody. 5/5" - onthe-rocks.co.uk
Formed in December 2002 from a desire to escape the desolate void of middle class suburban existence, *thebigsleep* comprise four fine upstanding young citizens of the Thames Valley's Number One Soulless Commuter Settlement (if you don't count Slough). Their aim, assuming they actually have one, is to provide a fitting soundtrack to life within the aforementioned soulless commuter settlement.
*thebigsleep* have shared a stage with many bands, some more notable than others.
Please contact band members for more details (wearethebigsleep@hotmail.co.uk); last time we checked, they'd decided to stop spamming anyone who contacted them with amateur pornography.
"Creating huge, lush, texural soundscapes you could lump The Big Sleep in with the likes of Pelican, Godspeed! or Explosions In The Sky - this lot are definitely going places." - Rock Sound magazine
We have been in the BLANK DISC STUDIO with sound engineer Tobias Anderko for 15 hours, in which we recorded and mixed two songs. You can listen to some unmastered extracts on our profile. Thanks a lot!

We're playing an acoustic show at Southampton's Platform Tavern this Tuesday.
This will be just Tim on tabla and jazzy brushed kit and Romin on guitar/samples and dumbeck.
We're playing a 40 minute set from around 9ish. It'll be different from the usual TTN stuff but the same at the same time, you know? Entrance is free and it should be pretty sweet. Be good to see you there if you can make it...
Hey thebigsleep, Thanks for the Add!
Hope life is loud, proud and you can come see us in Oxford sometime. We do give good gig...
So keep an eye on the gig list at http://www.janeiromusic.com (myspace) for details.
... SHOTS! ...

Sorry we've not been in touch for a while, we've been locked away in the studio for the past couple of months finishing our EP, hence the short break from gigging.
It's been a while coming but it's out now and available through us if you'd like a copy. There's a couple of the new tunes posted on our myspace page, have a listen if you can.
