WE are inspired and guided by our own spirits and by the music we once hoped might change the world, music made by ZAPPA and PINK FLOYD and CAMEL and RUSH and PETER GABRIEL...Our music is homage to those giants from whose shoulders we look out across the world and from where we see so little has been done to really save the disenfranchised, the poor, the children or the planet.
Billy The Mountain's first album Drifting To Valhalla is now sampled here, new songs produced by super-talented Nicolai Kehlet, a Danish engineer and member of Billy The Mountain who produced the album virtually single-handed at his Paradise Production Studio in Bangkok.
A second bluesy funk rock Billy The Mountain album is already under development and when that's done, we will be ready to tour the world!
Our music is mostly jazz/funk/rock in the style of Pink Floyd meets Jeff Beck meets Toto meets Steely Dan. The final band line-up will be a 12-piece with great players based around the world, so loads of space for improvisation and creative input.

BILLY THE MOUNTAIN is also a charitable collective with the purpose of bringing the misfortune of others - children in particular - to the wider attention of our global audiences. We hope we might spur some kind of positive reaction and encourage others to finally and genuinely help the many poor and disadvantaged kids in the world.
Any profits we make as a touring band - after taking into account the expenses of the band on its worldwide travels - go to the kids and impoverished who need a helping hands.
With or without a record label we remain free spirits driven only by the desire to play music and to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
We ask all members of our audiences to buy our merchandise, our CDs and to visit our web site and donate at least the price of a bottle of water. That money goes immediately and directly to build sustainable infrastructure which provides impoverished communities with clear, clean drinkable water, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year…forever.
