The Binding is a 5 piece mathy metal band from Northern, NJ. We broke up in the summer of '05, playing our last show on June 8th at the Bloomfield Ave Cafe and Stage in Montclair, NJ alongside Into The Moat and The End. We released one ep on Imagine It Records that recieved rave reviews from the extreme metal community (see below) and we have been told that we were way ahead of our time. We have since moved on (literally), with members relocating to San Diego, California; Pennsylvania, New York City and even Omaha, Nebraska.

Stomping, hair-pulling, throat scraping, finger blistering, 26 guitar parts per movement type songs. There is an occasional awkward groove running underneath the chaos, and it's those moments of tangibility one needs to hold on to tightly, as the ride will surely spin a listener off in another direction a fraction of a breakdown later.
