2. PROMOTE YOUR OWN SHOW!

Make and distribute flyers for your shows. Advertise not only your band, but the other acts playing as well.

Let people know what time they can expect you to be on stage.

Concentrate on coffee shops,book stores, and other “lifestyle” shops that your local hipster is bound to visit.

Contact local press about your show. (see the press list contained elsewhere on this page).

Create mailing lists. Obsessively collect friends on my space and similar sights.

****We do notice the efforts that bands put into bringing folks into the room. The more we see you promote, the more likely you will be asked back.****

The Hummingbird will hang your posters and promote your show on our end, but The Band needs to send out MYSPACE/FACEBOOK messages aletting friends of your show.

Create postings about your show. Leave your dignity far behind!
