The Business is a legendary record/CD/Bookstore/coffeeshop/music venue located on Commercial Ave. in Anacortes, WA. Stated by Glen DesJardins in 1978, the Business was owned by Bret Lunsford (Beat Happening, D+) and was home to KNW-YR-OWN records from 1995 to 2004. Now owned by Liz and Jensen Lovelett, the Business hosts music events in its cozy backstore booknook or outside (weather permitting) in its beautiful backyard courtyard. One of the last truly independent music stores in the northwest, come in and check it out. There is lots of cool stuff, including t-shirts by local artists such as Slow Loris, handbags and wallets from Queen Bee Creations, jewelery by Kathleen Faulkner, a large selection of local and regional independent music, as well as new and used CD's, vinyl, cassettes, VHS, DVD's, books, video games and other oddities.
