Influences	: Our lyrics are influenced by the following: the humour of Jarvis, the honesty of kitchen sink poets like Mike Skinner and the cynical bleakness of The Smiths and novels by JM Coetzee. Our home-made samples are inspired by our love of techno and labels/artists such as Underground Resistance, Gui Borrato, Ricardo Villalobos and Gabriel Anander. Ultimately we are a contradiction: samples vs live instruments, moments of disease ridden lyrics next to comedy, poetry (eg Dripping) followed by jack-ass moments of pop punk (Skinny Jeans). Don't ask why, its just the way it happened.

THE BJ FOYS FIASCO is honest electronic pop.

The twenties can get you down if you let them. Our tracks deal with some of the things that have happened to us recently ('She's Late' is about an unwanted pregnancy, 'Dripping' about a recent break up) but we see the funny side of these scenarios as well as the tragedy. The result is a dark comedy that we think sums up life in general. "Dark and funny definately fit well together. It's a way of redeeming something that is otherwise incredibly bleak." - Robyn Hitchcock (The Soft Boys) .
