It is VERY rare for me to showcase an artist that I have never met or even seen play live… I am happy to make an exception in the case of JIM BOGGIA.
Jim is one of those magical talents that can hook you with a single song, hell, a single chorus. His hauntingly beautiful melodies and spectacular harmonies are like comfort food for your ears.
Sonicly beautiful music provided a special comfort to Boggia as a child. Born blind in one eye and with limited vision in the other, Boggia grew up an only child with an acutely developed ear for music, spending a great deal of time emersed in the sounds of Harry Nilsson, The Kinks, The Beatles…
Those powerful early experiences are a theme that reverberate in the images, CD titles and, of course the music itself.
His debut CD, “Fidelity is the Enemy”, features a young boy on the cover obviously fascinated with a record player – and the music contained in that release is clearly the result of a love affair with beautiful sounds. As is his sophomore release, “Safe In Sound”
His keen ear and bountiful talents have made him a favorite bandmate and studio player for countless other amazing musicians like Duncan Sheik, David Poe, Mike Viola, James Maddock and more.

Now I, along with countless fans of one of Philly’s most beloved indie musicians, breathlessly await the release of his 3rd CD, “Misadventures in Stereo”, wich is due to be released August 5th on Bluhammock records.

I wear many hats, as one must in the music biz these days: writer/photographer/producer/promoter/ booking/artist development/management/"Tastemaker" and CEO of the B-Line Entertainment Group.
In July of 2006 our showcase division, the B-Sharp Showcase, brought six extraordinarily talented indie artists, from all across the country, to The Living Room on Ludow in NYC for an enormously successful event - The results speak for themselves (See Videos at bottom of this section) More recently we have just finished up with our second major showcase at Joe's Pub, which featured Lucy Woodward and KIFF.

Last year I created and produced a pilot concept for a TV series called "Inside Indie Music" which would highlight places/people/companies/cities that are an integral part of the booming indie market.
