Wes Griffith (former member of Grandview, the Commercials, Daytime Dilemma, and other bands) & Josh Blackway (former guitarist of the Huntingtons, Main Line Riders, Fred & the Savages, and other bands) created the Black Fins at Josh's house in Salisbury, MD, in April of 2007.
Wes & Josh are big fans of 50's/60's oldies, surf rock and classic rock & roll.
The first goal was to record a new version of the classic Del Shannon song "Runaway". After hurdling this challenging song, they took on another classic by Tommy James & The Shondells, "I Think We're Alone Now".
Both sing and play guitar. Wes does most of the singing. Josh does most of the guitars.
Look for more classic covers and originals in the same vein very soon. Look for shows on the east coast, especially the eastern shore, in the next few months.
