   About The Black Hawk War
The Black Hawk War formed in 2005, and soon released the self-produced "Enemies Of Fate" demo. Ex-Future Sons Of Rome vocalist/guitarist Pat Bourne joined the fold on backing vocals/guitar in October 2006. The Black Hawk War will record their new E.P shortly. It will feature such choice cuts as "Democracy Doesn't Work", "Insular" and "The Cost Of Freedom". NME: "This band makes the Doobie Brothers sound like John Cage. Great stuff."

For shame on me! Only just got around to hearing your recent-most musical composition but found to my rejoice that it is really rather spiffing. Nice and relaxing without causing doziness and exploiting the age-old artform of strong melody. Good form chaps.

Are you kidding me?!?! Dude, it was seriously my pleasure. And I guarantee it was everyone elses pleasure as well. You guys rocked. Don't worry about the nerves, worry about the nerves showing! And you didn't do that. You were calm, professional and most importantly, you were fucking awesome up there!
Am I flattering you? Yes I am, but these 'flattering' remarks happen to be based on my actual beliefs. You guys rocked. End of!

p.s. I want a copy of the album soon!

Love for 'The War'

No way! You guys ripped. I was really impressed with you and Pat Bourne band... impressed mainly at the amount of stuff you'd learnt in such a short space of time but also at the totally classic performances. Black Hawk War had the best sound of the night as far as clarity to heavyness ratio goes... without a doubt. Shame you guys couldn't hear it so great... no noticeable hinderances from my perspective though.

I was really dissapointed with how we played tonight until I saw the footage my dad took, then I realised it was just a few smaller errors that really got me down, but the majority of what we played was satisfactory. We can still do better though. until next time!!!

Anytime tomorrow that'll be ok for amp return?

No Phil, My bass amp is not at Mr Bournes house. It's at my house which is where Mr Bourne will retrieve it from. If you do not get your facts straight in future I will call for public hanging.................or maybe not.
SNOW (New Recordings)

Oct 22 2006 4:05 PM

Man, that's crazy! I take it jazz will still be taking drums, as he plays them for pat bourne, but now will we need a bass amp? roundies isn't much better than craig's (infanocide bassists) but we do have space to take it...

I was going to say if you wanted to go on after pat bourne that'd be fine by me (probably more practical as you'd be set up on stage). The only reason I'd feel strange following you guys is that you're far more established and confident than we are. And if infanocide aren't playing that'd mean we'd be headlining which doesn't bother me in principle, it's just our set is still only around 45 mins-ish... and that's if we play unrehearsed stuff :p .

The question of lees amplification still lingers in the open air. All he has is a pretty powerful little cube other than his oh so too powerful marshal stack :p... which we'd bring if only we had the damned space. Lee's good with amps (knows what he's doing) and stuff (he only needs the clean channel as he goes through a GT-5) and if he were to be able to borrow one from any of you guys a drink would be in it for ye. If it's a problem at all we'll bring the roland, no worries at all.

I am excited as hell. I think it's gonna be a great night of music. Playing with friends always gives that extra drive to perform. It's much better than being on the bill with another bunch of pop-punkers/emos or worse, a kaiser chiefs clone sat in the bar judging from a far. Gonna be legendary.

Hey guys. This is Gav. Can't wait to see you fellas again on monday. As far as I'm concerned you can play anywhere on the bill you like/is most comfortable/convenient. Just refamiliarising with some of the tunes now... hmmm... sweet.

hey phil, i hope massacrage is a type of drink. and yes we should. we could maybe even try and get joe out this time....unless he is too busy doing shots at half past lunchtime/conquering british metal singlehandedly (of course he only has the one arm so its hard not to)
