The CD/DVD deluxe edition features 12 live tracks that we’ve recorded from around the world since 2003, each with personal comments from the band. The montage style artwork is made up from hundreds of our favourite photos from past years, and the DVD has heaps of videos & docos, as well as photo galleries, wallpaper downloads & postcards. This special CD/DVD package is only available through our webshop and at our live shows.

Having just announced our first U.S tour dates, we’re now extremely pleased to announce the dates of our 2009 European Autumn Tour. See full European tour dates and ticketing details above.
The 16-show tour will include performances throughout the U.K, France, Germany and Switzerland in September/October, 2009. Due to the limited timeframe available, we apologise that we haven’t been able to add more dates, but we expect to play more cities/countries when we return in 2010.

ABOUT THE BAND
Hailing from Wellington, New Zealand, and led by the vocals of Barnaby Weir and Daniel Weetman The Black Seeds’ produce a boundary-crossing fusion of dub, funk, afrobeat and soul, mixed with vintage reggae. Their unique style of layering supremely infectious grooves and melodies over undiluted roots music now sees their popularity spreading quickly throughout the globe in recent years.
After forming in 1997, The Black Seeds have a gold, platinum, and two double-platinum selling albums behind them, as well as a masterful 8-piece live show that has seen them perform at many of the biggest festivals throughout New Zealand, Australia and Europe.
After signing record deals with European labels Sonar Kollektiv and Rough Trade Netherlands in 2007, The Black Seeds successfully released their 3rd album Into the Dojo in Europe in July 07 to critical acclaim and strong airplay, followed by their third European tour in the summer 2007.
In 2008 The Black Seeds released their anticipated 4th studio album
'Solid Ground' in NZ, Europe & Australia. The release was supported by sell-out NZ & Australian tours, and two successful European tours which included standout performances at festivals such as Roskilde, The Lovebox Weekender, Garrance, Summerjam, and many more.
Solid Ground will be released in North America in 2009.
