We're a live music club but also a restaurant, a function space, a gallery, part of one of the most exciting mill redevelopment projects in the state, and involved in a ton of things, from tourism to health care.

The Blackstone is a live music venue, arts space and restaurant in the Hope Artiste Village complex in Pawtucket, R.I., just over the Providence line. We moved here in 2007 after 8 years in Cumberland and, previously, 2 years elsewhere in Pawtucket.
We welcome talent from across the U.S. and around the world, with special support for promising unsigned R.I. and Mass. bands and solo artists, but also opportunities for established, label-backed acts. Please note, however, that we are not interested in cover bands.
We are also available for functions and catering. E-mail us for more info or, to fill out a band booking form, visit our main site at www.blackstoneclub.com. FYI, we absolutely prefer e-mail to MySpace messages; the amount of mail we get is just too huge to sort through easily on MySpace.
Who I'd like to meet: Really great musicians. People who can appreciate great music even if it's totally unlike their personal tastes. Anyone truly creative -- whether they're artists or engineers. Cool people all around.
Okay, here is our chance to help me win a record contract with Myspace Records!
I have just been selected as one of the final 5 out of 15,000 entries in the Toyota Music "Rock The Space" contest! - If we win, I will be able to record tons of my new songs and get back on the road to come perform for you all and hang out again! :)
I need you to vote for me everyday and tell all your friends to go and vote for me too!

SoundSession'09 is New England's premier summer music festival in Rhode Island's capital city. A multi-stage, genre-defying event, the festival is produced by the Providence Black Repertory Company in collaboration with the City of Providence Department of Art, Culture & Tourism.
