..The Black Velvet Band were formed in the early 1990's at the Legendary 'Loft bar' By Ian Costello in Christchurch. NZ. A mix of old and new members currently perform alongside Costello, and the boys can still be heard pumping their unique blend of Rock and Reel into the wee hours most weekends around Christchurch.
