THE BLAQK YEAR are a Love Metal band from Australia.
Commonly reffered too as "TBY", started playing as a band when
they were just 7 years old, After discovering, they loved
music, Sam Koster started writing songs, then a few years
later, they became, alot more serious, writing better songs,
and recording them. The Blaqk Year is Sam Koster (Vocals &
Lead Guitar, Songwriter, Producer), Matt Santos (Bass Guitar),
& Stephen Reinhart (Guitar). The Blaqk Year will be
releasing there new album 'After The Storm' 07/09/08.
We do alot of things, on our own.
Basically, the only assistance with the band is, someone
pressing record in the studio, the rest from there, we take
care of, meaning, all mixing and producing of songs, is done by
us, all promotion & sales is done by us. Basically, were very
independent, its not easy though.
The Blaqk Year are also well known for their videos on YouTube,
here , containing parodies of Fergie, R.
Kelly, and others. Aswell as numerous comical videoblogs
between Sam Koster and Matt Santos.
The Blaqk Years first album "After The Storm" has now been
released. Aswell as their side-project "Inferiorocean", (that
is still yet too come) which is a Techno/House album including
"Lighting The Path To Yesterday".
