Formed in mid 2005, The Bleak contains Simon Davies, aged 18 on bass and vocals, Rob Lane aged 19 on guitar and Danny Sankarsingh, 18 on drums. The band is currently making it's name as a fiery live unit, who's gigs often see such diverse elements as loudness, improvisation, humour, energy, despair, sweat, softness, excitement and mounds of energy.
The Bleak's sound is built around the original songs written by Rob Lane and Simon Davies, ranging from stomping rockers, through to melodic indie and soft ballads, with the odd blues or heavy rock cover thrown in for kicks.
The Bleak can been seen regularly around native Birmingham, and moving outwards the band's aim is to play to as many people as possible, and have lots of fun doing it.
