"The Blessed Order..." started life as a side project that never got of the ground.
In early 2008 that changed.
Influences
the blue, the black,
the light, the dark,
trailblazers and heartbreakers.
Sounds Like
In the gutter, looking at The Blessed Order Of Fallen Stars
You know what I really like? More than Bill Hicks, more than doctors who actually don't like making people better because all people are stupid, more than porn, more than Rum, more than Bruce Springsteen, David Hasselhoff, Bobby Davro or non-league football teams? I like a really, really, tight drum pattern.
Now, I know many of you who read this nonsense are musos and will secretly be agreeing with me. I have met precisely two drummers I like. I haven't met the drummer from Therapy?, but I know I'd like him. I have met Travis Bickle off of Blink 182 and some other stuff that kids like, and he rules too. The reason I like tham all is tight drumming. Yeah. Rimshots. Nice short splashes. How can you not like stuff that clearly belongs in porn films?
Anyways, The Blessed Order Of Fallen Stars have it too. IT. It doesn't really matter what else happens in the song as the drumming just kind of hooks you (or rather me) in. The fact there's a kick-ass bassline, and some extraordinarily promising vocal and guitar hooks in there not only sweetens the deal, but means that YOU - the normal listener - can enjoy this on different levels to me, ones that don't involve me high-fiving the nearest geek and yelling "YEEA-AH! NICE FILL!"
It's worth pointing out two things though:
1) There's a proper Scottish band pedigree behind all this, but knowing it in advance might mean you listen differently, even though the relevant band link does imply aceness. You won't be disappointed, jockrockers.
2) This is a fairly rough demo - but if 90 percent of bands could produce rough demos this good, 99 percent of bands today would be out of fucking business and back stacking shelves where they belong.
YEE-AH! NICE FILL!
Sorry.
MySpace is HEEE-AH. Respect The Fill.

The Blessed Order Of Fallen Stars are not a cult, nor are they not occult.
the driving force and talent behind "Seneka", "The Aphrodisiacs" and "the 55's" have risen from the ashes and taken to the skies. Through a process of musical alchemy "The Blessed Order..." came upon the perfect form of audio delight, ripped from the hands of angels.
"contrary to popular belief cobras do not in fact dance to the music of the snake charmer, they do however dance to the music of the blessed order of fallen stars."
This qurtet of lovely lads have been preparing to unleash their musical blitzkreig upon the world since early 2008.
Ross Addy believes he invented the drums!
the revolutionary way he hits the skins makes this statement true.
Al Nolan's guitar used to be attached to his body until one summers eve he challenged the devil to a duel with swords.
When Al plays his guitar nowadays he uses a strap, but we dont mind.
Elvis Valentine's bass expertise has been utilised by the Ministry Of Defence in an attempt to recreate the infamous Philadelphia Experiment.
Sadly they only succeeded in creating the brown note. Well that and some sweet ass tunes
Elvis is an elusive little piece of candy!
St Ephan has been around for a very long time, however he only appears during times of extreme emotional or physical upheaval. He was there as the mayan civilization crumbled, he was there when the Visigoths sacked Rome, he was there at the crucifixtion and at roswell in 1947. It should come as no surprise then to know that St Ephan showed up for the end of music.
