Infusing elements of traditional American music with the vibrant sounds of indie and punk, Bless Unrest is poly-rythmic agitation for workers and dreamers! Combing a do-it-yourself ethic with a radical vision, and stretching beyond narrow confines of existing genres to create a vibrant, fresh sound.

Blessed Unrest has currently consists of bassist Ben Powell, handling the low-end and providing vocal outbursts, and Marlo Pedroso on guitar and lead vocal transmissions. The sound is melodic, jangly and punchy beast, punctuated by sharp clean guitars, driving bass lines and thundering drums. Lyrically the band traverses the blurry boundary where personal, spiritual and political overlap. And at other times we're just a bunch of silly blokes.

Marlo has released previous albums with his former band, Bastard Sound. A four song E.P. called "Freedom Summer" was released in 2003 and a full length self titled album came out in 2005. Blessed Unrest is currently mastering their latest E.P., which will be out soon. We are also currently seeking a drummer and second guitarist. Contact us if interested.
