The Bludgers are a 3 peice in ya face, streetpunk band from Hamilton NZ. Formed in July 2004 from the ashes of Mistaken Identity and their flatmate Fattty.The band has travelled endlessly around the North Island and in September 2007 finally made it to the South Island supporting The Exploited along with their good friends Gripper from Nelson.
In recent times the band has undergone lineup changes original bassist Fatty has left and can now be found playing for his new band Shitripper. He has been replaced by Nick from our good friends Roll With The Punches who recently split up In recent years the band has supported international acts such as Anti Nowhere League (twice), Agnostic Front, Uk Subs (3 times), Peter & The Test Tube Babies, The Adicts, Against, and more. They’ve also played with a big range of kiwi bands from Missing Teeth, Gobsmakt, Evil Priest, The Managers, GFNR, Black Chrome, Bali Bombers, Horror Story, Red Hot Pussy Licker, Ritalin, The Bleeders, Garage Fodder, Vicious Rumours, Tentacles of Destruction, Warpath, Bad Medicine, Brick vrs Face, Poisoners, Suicide Dogs, Cynix, City Newton Bombers the list goes on and on from Punk to Oi to Ska to HC the Bludgers have played all kinds of shows from small halls to garages to bigger venues like the Kings Arms.
The band describe their sound as a cross between 82 English punk and New York HC. Their beer drinking anthems get the alcohol flowing!! We are currently finishing off recording our first album which will be released sometime this year. The songs on this site are a couple of years old, from an earlier recording.
