Arann Harris and The Finest Musicians In The Universe
Influences
Hank Williams, Otis Redding, Johnny Cash, Chickens, Nina Simone, Mississippi John Hurt, Leadbelly, Beastie Boys, Llamas, Al Green, Fence Posts, Good Dogs, and when you got to dig a grave for a rabbit.
The Bluebellies have played The Mystic, The Russian River Brewery, The Riptide, The Knockout, The Sweetwater, The Last Day Saloon, The Pheonix, On the back of flat beds and in cow barns.
I got my background from Backgrounds Archive!
The Bluebellies bring energy and wit with their songs
exploring farming, food, religion and
llamas. Taking inspiration from the
roots of American traditional music but folding in their own diverse
musical flavors and urban influences to create a
original sound. Listen for the back porch, the
campfire and the lament of the encrouching urban
sprawl in the songs of The Bluebellies.

"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)
"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
