THE BLUE CANTINA is a Rock ‘n Roll band born in Ravenna, Italy, in 2000 by the union of the multi-instrumental front man Filo and some of his old buddies. They started to build the band around Filo’s compositions and created a very personal, passionate and original, but easy listening sound, based on the 70’s and 80’s Rock‘n Roll stuff and influenced by different music styles, brought in by the members of the band. After many gigs, some lineup changes, and after gaining many artistic experiences, in 2008 the band THE BLUE CANTINA hits the music market with the first official EP “The Laguna Sessions”, released by the label ELEVATOR RECORDS. The EP has been produced by A.Venetis and recorded at Red House Recordings studios, in Senigallia, where famous artists (among others: Rob Ellis, Charlotte Hatherley(Ash), Steve Albini, Max Gazzè, Linea 77) produced their works. The five tracks in this EP, wich has been enthusiastically reviewed by critics, are performed durin’ the live shows, together with the usual repertoire, in clubs, venues and festivals. It’s in fact on the stage where the “Cantina” gives its best, performing very powerful shows with strong impact on the audience, unleashing ass-shakin’ vibes.
