The Bluegrass Blog is run by two persons:
John Lawless has a long history in bluegrass music. Growing up in east Virginia he began playing banjo at a young age and continues today. His company, AcuTab Publications, is the leading producer of artist approved transcriptions and instructional DVDs.
Brance Gillihan attended South Plains College, and studied bluegrass music under Alan Munde while also learning the science and art of studio recording and production. He later transfered to Belmont University to study music business. Brance plays guitar and sings, and also runs a successful recording studio/production company, Clear Blue Productions.
