   About The Blue Light District
COME TO THIS, IT'LL MAKE YOU PISS!!

WHAT IS THE BLD?

The Blue Light District is a platform for music and art born of a desire for change (as in alteration, not 'spare any....?'). Our primary goal is the promotion and exposure of artists and musicians work through our website, events, online zine, promotions network, record label, collective, and more. To this end we offer support services to those in creative roles, including merchandising (badges, t-shirts, patches, demo CDRs and more...), design (websites, flyers, logos etc), printing (flyers, posters and more), web services, photography and live sound engineering. More services will be added très soon! We've also recently been offered some retail space in a soon to open South East London boutique, we'll be stocking records, CDs, badges, t-shirts, magazines, comic books and prints for some of the artists who appear on our site, more news on this will be announced soon.

We are a collective of creatives formed on a foundation of similar ideas and ideals; our numbers include: musicians, artists, film makers, animators, actors, performers, graphic designers, computer programmers, writers, journalists, photographers, poets, comedians, promoters, publicans, printers, podcasters, producers, performers, sound engineers, DJs, VJs and a whole lot more!

We are continuously searching for more artists to join us and always welcome people. If you have any questions, would like to be involved, would like a quote or more info on our services, or to simply voice your opinion please feel free to contact us via www.thebluelightdistrict.com

Also, OUR ZINE NEEDS WRITERS! We are looking for contributors to get involved, if you fancy writing a review, article, interview or essay for our growing website then please do get in touch. Similarly if you have a demo, single, album, book, film, event, play, performance, yadda, yadda, yadda that you'd like to get some press for please contact us here.

Stream, in partnership with Greenwich Council, have been scouring the borough to find the most exciting new film-making talent to showcase as part of the Greenwich Film Festival.

So, if you think that you could be the next Martin Scorsese, or simply want the chance to see your film on the silver screen you have one week left to submit your film.

The Greenwich Film Festival is a unique programme of screenings and events taking place across the borough of Greenwich 23 – 26 July 2009 and we are looking for films from young film-makers aged 25 or under. A selection of the best films submitted will be screened during the festival and there will
also be a cash prize for the very best films selected.

Interested?

Submission is open to young film-makers aged under 25 on 29 June 2009 or groups of young film-makers with an average age of 25 or under. Entrants

Hi,

I'm happy to announce that my new album "Songs From The Films Of David Lynch" is out now.

"Truly unsettling and perplexingly brilliant... testament to both the quality of Lynch’s soundtracks and Truax’s talents" - The Skinny

Lynch Album Cover Medium jpg

"Truax is paying homage to a kindred spirit with this album. It's the best kind of tribute – affectionate and respectful, but with its own quirks and imaginative leaps and its own distinct identity." -The Scotsman

"Great stuff." -Buzz Magazine
