The Blue Moon Revue don't know what kind of band they are. It changes from week to week, sometimes they're a band of hard-ass wailing souls that sound like they came straight out of the barn in rootin' tootin' Newton, raising maters, taters and hell. Other times they seem spacey and psychedelic, almost quiet like but still raised in a barn. Half the band is from Newton, NC by the way, the other half are from the neighboring towns of Claremont and Lincolnton. They've been playing the Chapel Hill bar scene for a few years and now they're branching out to Raleigh and anywhere else they can book a show. They've recorded two albums and are in the process of writing and recording three other albums. Like I said, the band's sound changes from week to week. If you like rock and roll with a little bit of blues, some southern twang, liquor, harmonica, bars, drinking at home alone, slide guitar, loudness, and beer for breakfast on Sundays, then this is the band for you.
