Stephanie - bass and vocals, Kelly - vocals and rhythm guitar, Gloria - lead guitar and vocals, Rhonda - drums. We met in bars and at birthday parties and throughout the years, we've grown to be like sisters and to put up with all the things that come along with it - PMS, mood swings, arguments and moments where we were closer than ever. We've discovered we are boring when traveling by ourselves but we find the most simple things to entertain us like throwing shoes. Any way it goes we are now family and there's no turning back now.

Their name came like an epiphany when the four women were sitting under a blue umbrella on a beautiful, sunny Kentucky Derby Day. One of them looked up and said, "How about The Blue Umbrellas?" The formation was complete. These women are distinctive, full of life and vigor. As smooth as Kentucky bourbon, The Blue Umbrellas is a melodic rock band with a warm harmony-driven style, yet with thrilling hyperkinetic live shows. Mixing colorful musical styles, they channel together metro folk to rural rock to playful pop. It is impossible to just hear The Blue Umbrellas . . . you have to experience them. The Blue Umbrellas have created a strong following in the Louisville, Kentucky area and are starting to tour regionally and up to the east coast. They have played with nationally known artists such as Antigone Rising, Alison Pipitone, Jen Foster, Bitch and Animal, Lindsay Mac and Katie Reider and are on their way to national recognition themselves. You can find our music at CD Baby, iTunes, ear x-tacy, Amazon, MP3 Tunes, MSN Music, MusicMatch and many, many more.

Hey, my friends, your Nietzsche's show in Buffalo kicked butt. Loved it! Thanks again for the autographed poster for my birthday. Also, thanks for being my good luck charm. A couple of days after I saw you, I got a new job!!!! I firmly believe it was the good Karma you brought to Buffalo that caused my new found employment. Love to all four of you. Oh, and Rhonda, sweatpants are fine attire. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Can't wait until you lovely ladies get here to Buffalo, NY! I shall try to remember to post a weather update to your myspace site on Wednesday night. Safe travels. Love you all!!!!
Today is Nov. 11th. In 31 days you will be in BUFFALO!!!!! I am so excited. I love you beautiful ladies and your music. And very awesome of you to come to BUFFALO during my birthday month - Dec. 21st to be exact. You are giving me the best birthday present. Be safe in your travels. See ya in Dec. Godspeed.
Hey ladies, I am one of the 20 semi finalists in the running for the Paste Magazine Rock N' Reel contest!!!! If I win this contest I would share the stage with Lyle Lovett, Patty Griffin and John Hiatt! Cool stuff right?? Cayamo cruise is sponsoring this event and has all sorts of national acts like: Joe Ely, Indigo Girls,Brandi Carlile, Shawn Colvin and many more acts playing through the week ( February 28th and March7th)! Here where you come in: I need everyone to vote for me for me to get a slot! I am one of 20, so my chances are pretty great, but I need to make sure that I have as much support as possible.. Wanna know how to vote??? Ok here we go:
2. Enter your email address below the Cayamo ad. (They want your email address just so they will make sure that certain people aren't voting twice. Fair game. )
3. Rate all 20 semi-finalists! You can go at your own speed, rating how high or low as you would like (preferably a high score for me)! Who knows you may find some new artists that you love! You can give them a great score too, you don't have to be biased.
* This does take about 10 minutes but it would mean a lot to me if you took the time to vote and pass this along to your friends that would love to help!!!!
LMAO. I am good on the rest of the lyrics. I had a fan on tonight's show that seemed genuinely relieved when I announced the lyrics. His name is Mashby and is a monster fan of you all... requests nothing but the BUs. Thought you might like that feedback. On creating a confusing album being fun... oh, it would be a blast...until they lynched us hahahahahahah
Bless you Stephanie!!! It's Dutch!! No wonder we were running around scratching our heads. Honest to God. Three of us sat in this studio and spun that song twenty times if we spun it once; hanging on to every word. By the end , we had drool running down our shirts and the blank, hollow look of people with messed up lobotomies. LMAO Wed. show I will clarify... no wait... better idea. I will make them pay good money to find out. Hey, we can team up. You gals record songs with lyrics that even the CIA can't decipher. I'll spin them and the fans will go crazy wondering what the lyrics mean. It's a perfect setup for extortion of frustrated fans! Okay maybe extortion is too harsh a word because after all, it is the information age... Bwhahahha
Thanks so much, you are great! Hits Bonus Pic- Hollywood Makeover
You Rock! I remain completely impressed by you young ladies. Damn great music! Now, humor me as I am old and afflicted with howzdatchorusgo-itus on Metamorphose. I reckon I have played Metamorphose more than any other DJ in radio but in spite of numerous shout-outs to my radio listeners over the last year nobody has been able to definitively say exactly what the chorus is in that tune. The strangest suggestion I have gotten from a listener is "aye, me eyes sped eats pie in." Bwhahahahaha Unfortunately, that made some sense to me as I am fluent in Whack-o Yoda speak. LOL The problem is, now everytime I play Metamorphose, those are the frigging words I hear. So Please, Please, post the lyrics to that tune! As exchange for getting me out of mystery on that I will get you ladies out of mystery on what happened to Fred Flintstone. LMAO. Steady on girls, you are all simply remarkable. Hits
