Taking their name from a feisty female gangster, the Bobbed Haired Bandits came together at Manchester’s Tiger Lounge. The leopard-print wallpaper, Bettie Page portraits and £5 bottles of wine made for a merry night and by last orders, they’d already planned world domination. A cake-fuelled summer of band practices followed and they soon had a clutch of perfect pop songs to rival Britney, Well, almost…
