Bobby Kingston has received a prestigious grant as a Jim Beam Emerging Artist and Talent in Music. Bobby has also been selected as the Western Music Association's Yodeler of the Year for 2006 and 2007. Bobby has performed at the prestigious Elko Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko Nevada, as well as, the pinnacle Western Music Association's annual festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Bobby has also performed in various venues in Nashville, Tennessee, including the famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge and Roberts on lower Broadway in Nashville. Bobby regularly performs in Las Vegas as a solo artist with his acoustic guitar as a strolling western cowboy singer at special events, corporate functions, and community events. He also performs in Duo (with a bass), Trio (bass and instrumentalist) and four piece cowboy band (bass, instrumentalist, and percussionist).

Bobby Kingston follows in the footsteps of his father, former Canadian Country Music star and renowned yodeler, Jack Kingston. Jack Kingston recorded two gold singles, was the first Canadian Country Artist signed to Capital Records, and is currently up for induction into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame. In the 1950's Jack Kingston had numerous appearances all over the world including; the Louisiana Hayride, WWVA Jamboree, Big D Jamboree, and the famed Grand Ol' Opry in Nashville, Tennessee, among others.

Bobby Kingston has performed with Cross Currents (a rock/country cover band where he played drums and was the lead singer), Bobby K & Country Tradition (his first country cover band where he played rhythm guitar and was the main lead vocalist), The Bobby Kingston Band (a powerful Traditional Country Band that was very famous in Las Vegas), and most recently, Rocky Tonk (a dynamic and edgy Americana band that mixes all roots music from Western, Country, Roots Rock, Blues, Jazz, and Bluegrass). He holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and is also a professionally licensed electrical engineer in the State of Nevada. Bobby is experienced in all facets of live sound and recording. He operates a professional recording studio in Las Vegas and has self produced all of his own music.

Hi Bobby. I came by and gave "Wayfaring Stranger" a listen...killer track! I have always heard it kind of bluegrassy, so the western-type harmony sounds really fresh. If the rest of the album is as good as this you just might have something here!
